Six Sigma Green Belt Certification

The Six Sigma Green Belt program is designed for professionals aiming to support and lead improvement initiatives using the Six Sigma methodology. This course provides a solid foundation in the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) framework and equips participants with practical tools to reduce variation, improve processes, and contribute to organizational excellence. Green Belts typically work on projects within their functional areas, collaborating with Black Belts and cross functional teams. By the end of this training, participants will be able to: Understand and apply the Six Sigma DMAIC methodology, collect and analyze data to identify process inefficiencies, use statistical tools to support problem solving and decision making, implement Lean concepts to eliminate waste and optimize performance, support and lead Six Sigma projects within their departments, contribute to long term process improvement and quality enhancement.

Module 1: Introduction to Six Sigma and Lean Fundamentals of Six Sigma and Lean Thinking Roles within Six Sigma (White, Yellow, Green, Black, Master Black Belt) Understanding variation and process improvement Introduction to DMAIC methodology

Module 2: Define Phase Identifying improvement opportunities Project Charter development Voice of the Customer (VOC) and Critical to Quality (CTQ) High-level process mapping (SIPOC)

Module 3: Measure Phase Defining key metrics and performance indicators Data collection planning and tools Introduction to Measurement System Analysis (MSA) Basic statistics and process capability

Module 4: Analyze Phase Identifying root causes of process issues Graphical and statistical analysis tools (Pareto, Fishbone, 5 Whys) Introduction to hypothesis testing Process mapping and waste identification

Module 5: Improve Phase Brainstorming and solution generation Prioritization tools (Impact-Effort Matrix) Lean tools: 5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke Implementing and testing improvements

Module 6: Control Phase Developing control plans Visual management and documentation Introduction to Statistical Process Control (SPC) Ensuring sustainability of improvements

Module 7: Green Belt Project Presentation and Certification Real or simulated project presentation (optional) Practice questions and certification exam   Note: Training and certification are two different costs. 4D gains no benefit from the cost of certification and is in no way related to the certification.

    Understand the fundamental principles of Six Sigma and Lean thinking, including roles and variation.

    Master the Define phase by identifying improvement opportunities and developing comprehensive project charters.

    Execute the Measure phase effectively by defining key metrics, planning data collection, and understanding basic statistics.

    Apply analytical tools and techniques within the Analyze phase to identify and validate root causes of process issues.

    Implement sustainable improvements in the Improve phase using brainstorming, prioritization, and Lean tools.

    Develop and maintain control plans in the Control phase to ensure the long-term sustainability of process improvements.
